Two of my most fave things shall be joined tonight in Los Angeles. No, not Gold Lamae and Salmon Sushi, but BASEBALL AND FILIPINO FOOD! Tonight is Filipino Heritage night at Dodger Stadium and my heart and belly hate me for not being able to go. They're serving Chicken Adobo at the stadium!! I mean...what?
Thank you Dodgers for this amazing event. I wish I could bring my BFF Cali Mansi to hang out with you all tonight, but we gots plans that unfortunately have nothing to do with Adobo and/or baseball.
For those of you who are going...have some Lumpia for me!!!
Love love, Kimee ps: If you're thinking, "Wait, I thought Kimee was an Angels fan." You are correct, but I got nothing but love for most Baseball Teams and players. Except for the Rays (sorry Tampa) and A.J. Perzinski (sorry Douchies)
As many of you know, in September, I'll be running the Disney Half Marathon on behalf of AIDS Project Los Angeles. I am very excited to run for this great organization and have already gotten blisters trying to improve my time. I'm better now thanks to new socks:)
Anyhoo, I'm still raising money for APLA and would love a donation from you. In appreciation for your contribution, I'll be doing a personal online video chat via Skype on Monday, August 31st from 9am-10am PST. Wait, it gets even better! The super exciting news is that I'll be doing this video chat together with Karla Mosley and Jenn (Peterson-Hind) Korbee. That's right, the girls will be back together again to hang out, catch up and have one on one time with you and your family.
Details:
All Donations must be made by Sunday July 26th 2009. Make a donation here: http://tinyurl.com/lhasly
With Skype, you can video chat, voice chat or text chat. If you would like to voice or video chat, please make sure you've tested your settings before August 31st.
Jenn, Karla and I will be doing voice and video chat so, if you have your computer set for it, you'll be able to see and talk to us one on one. If you don't have a video camera on your computer, you can talk to us via your computer's microphone and watch us on Skype as we respond to your questions in real time.
Each $25 donation to APLA will give you 5 minutes of chat time. Larger donations will give you more time (up to a maximum of 10 minutes).
You'll receive an email saying that we've gotten your donation and asking what time you'd like to "chat" Reply with your time choice, Skype name, and the names who will be chatting with us that day.
Sign up fast before all the slots are taken:)
I'm really excited about this! It's a great way to raise money for this amazing orginization and a nice opportunity for us to catch up with all of you.
I had a dream last night that someone was trying to kidnap my Apo (Grandfather.) When the kidnapper found out he was 91, he said, "Oh, sorry. I can't take him. He's too old for the deal. I need someone under 80. Wow. He looks really good for his age." He then gently took Apo out of the car, placed him in his wheelchair and asked us to take good care of him.
Nicest kidnapper I've ever met in a dream.
*I realize this is not a picture of my Grandfather, but I imagine this is the face my niece Hailee would make if I told her this story.
I just got back from an AWESOME trip back home in Hawaii! I was given the amazing opportunity and difficult task of judging the Miss Hawaii Pageant while I was home. It was such a great experience and I had a wonderful time meeting new people and seeing first hand what these young women go through. They were all stunning and I was truly impressed with each and everyone of them. If you missed the show, you can catch it again online at www.oc16.tv. Next replay is today, July 10th at 6pm PST. The show is really good! Check out the 30 beautiful contestants, the always fierce 24/7 dance company and me waving to my Grandma...good times;)
Other than that, I've been busy working on "When I Grow Up"...lots of exciting things are happening with the show and I'm really excited to get things going. My editor and I have been working hard on getting things together and I will keep you updated on what's going on....you know I will:) www.wigutv.com

Once upon a time, on an island far from snow, a little girl was born. She used to love to go to the library. She used to be in Academically Advanced classes. She used to floss every night. Then one day, someone put her in a show and it went downhill from there...
